I was first drawn to visit Laguna Beach, California in the early 70s when it was still a fledgling artist community lined with small galleries featuring masterful seascape paintings by local artists. I’ve been back to visit a few times since and I still aspire to paint a seascape as well as those I first admired so long ago. This attempt was inspired by the view at Monument Point on the Heisler Park trail along Laguna Beach’s oceanfront bluffs.
